Born from a love for the vibrant street flavors of South India, Spicy Hut was founded to bring the true taste of regional Indian food to Tempe. With decades of culinary tradition behind our recipes, we’re here to serve students, professionals, and food lovers authentic biryanis and chai with a modern twist. Whether it’s your first time trying Indian food or you’re a seasoned foodie, you’ll feel right at home with our warm service and bold spices.

Meet Our Manager & Chef

Akshay, a seasoned chef with 13+ years of experience, has made significant contributions to the culinary world. Starting at Leonia Holistic Destination and later refining his craft at Radisson Blu, he ventured internationally, serving as an executive chef at Alforsan International Sports Resorts in Abu Dhabi and various 5-star properties in Europe. Returning to the US, he delved into entrepreneurship, launching successful restaurants across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa. Notably, he created Hyderabad Rasoi and Desi Fusion. Presently, he continues to thrive with Masala Indian Cuisine and Biryani Cafe and is gearing up for the grand opening of Spicyhut – Pan Indian Cuisine.

Spicyhut Pan Indian Cuisine is the brainchild of Ujwala, a Phoenix native with a deep-rooted love for the diverse and vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine. Ujwala’s culinary journey began in her own kitchen, where her passion for experimenting with different spices and ingredients from various Indian cultures led her to create unique and delightful dishes. Her vision for Spicyhut was to create a place where people could experience the richness of Pan-Indian cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. With a commitment to using the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, Ujwala has turned her dream into a reality, offering a menu that is as diverse and exciting as the continent itself.
